บทคัดย่อ
This academic article aimed at examining the language strategies used to constructed Sergeant Sam collective memory to convey meaning in online news. Data for the analysis came from 30 text, which classified online news into 2 groups: 1) news of the construction of the monument of Sergeant Sam in the online news 2) news about Sergeant Sam's capsule inventions It was found that the contents of language strategies used to communicate shared memories to convey meaning Sergeant Sam has four language strategies such as 1) lexical strategies consist of 1.1) denote meaning for memory communication 1.2) naming for the meaning of the memorial 1.3) positive meaning consist of lexical of satisfactory characteristics, lexical of praise 2) pragmatic strategies consist of speech acts of representatives by government sector, speech acts of representatives by private sector 3) using tradition 4) using a parade to celebrate.
