The purposes of this research were to improve elementary students’ problem-solving skills during participating in STEM learning activities and assess content knowledge and understanding of earthquake warning systems and related concepts before and after participating in STEM learning activities. The participants in this study included eighty 5th and 6th-grade students who were studying at Anubannangrong elementary school, Buriram province which was obtained by simple random sampling technique. Earthquake Early Warning Systems STEM activity lesson plans, problem-solving skills assessment forms, and students’ conceptual understanding test were used as research instruments. One group pretest-posttest design was used to analyze the data. The result revealed that students’ knowledge and understanding of STEM Education and problem-solving skill shown very good result. The students were able to understand concept of Earthquake Warning System after participating in this research study. The results shown that achievement score before attending the STEM activity was 7.46 and it found to be increased at 8.81. This finding indicated that the average score after learning STEM activity was higher than before with statistically significant at 0.5. After participating STEM activity, the result shown that satisfy level was very good in all aspects of evaluation.
