We are pleased to announce the upcoming JWST Data Analysis and Processing Workshop (South East Asia). The participants will receive hands-on training from experts (including people from instrument-building teams!) to use public JWST data for scientific research.

Date: 24 June – 5 July 2024
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Agenda: We will cover everything from downloading data from archives to all data reduction steps. We will also include usage examples of all instruments on JWST (NIRCam, NIRISS, NIRSpec, and MIRI).We welcome final-year undergraduates, master’s students, PhD students, post-doctoral fellows and researchers from ASEAN and the vicinity with backgrounds in astronomy research. The workshop is supported by the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT). We will provide lodging, food, and partial travel reimbursement.
