บทคัดย่อ
This study aimed to investigate the learning achievement and satisfaction of students enrolled in the Chemistry for Public Health course. The participants were selected using purposive sampling and consisted of 30 first-year students from Class 1 of the Public Health Program at Buriram Rajabhat University who were enrolled in the first semester of the 2026 academic year. The research instruments comprised basic chemistry laboratory skills exercises, constructed-response pre-test and post-test achievement tests, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. The results indicated that: (1) the students’ learning achievement after participating in the learning activities using the basic chemistry laboratory skills exercises was higher than their achievement before the activities; (2) their post-test achievement exceeded the predetermined criterion of 60%; and (3) their overall satisfaction with the Chemistry for Public Health course was at a high level. Regarding individual aspects, satisfaction with the course content and its alignment with the learning objectives was 88%, satisfaction and confidence in performing scientific laboratory activities was 80%, and positive attitudes toward the Chemistry for Public Health course were 80%. These findings suggest that basic chemistry laboratory skills exercises can enhance public health students’ learning achievement, confidence in laboratory practice, and positive attitudes toward learning chemistry.
